Disclaimer
Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound at cherished memories must already be receiving treatment with a health care provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical diagnostic ultrasound to confirm due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and for any other pregnancy related concerns. During the elective ultrasound our certified technicians will be conducting a limited diagnostic exam to confirm number of babies, baby presentation, placental location, heart rate, and gender determination. Only if an abnormality is suspected your physician will be notified, and a report will be provided. Please note, that we cannot, and will not replace valuable diagnostic exams regularly ordered by your prenatal provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time for 3D/4D ultrasound?
3D/4D ultrasound can be performed across a broad range, but many families prefer approximately 24 to 34 weeks. Earlier visits may show baby smaller and less developed, while later visits often show fuller facial features, depending on baby’s position and other factors.
Will I always get a beautiful picture of my baby?
In most cases we are able to capture meaningful images, but beautiful pictures are not guaranteed. Image quality can be affected by baby’s position, placenta location, amniotic fluid, gestational age, and other factors outside our control.
How can I help get the best pictures of my baby?
Staying well hydrated throughout pregnancy can help improve imaging conditions. Drinking extra water for several days before your appointment and having something cold, sweet, or tart shortly before your visit may also help encourage baby movement.
What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and HDLive?
2D is the traditional black-and-white ultrasound view. 3D creates a still, lifelike image of baby’s face or body. 4D shows real-time movement in 3D, and HDLive is an enhanced rendering style designed to provide more depth, lighting, and detail.
