Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound at cherished memories must already be receiving treatment with a health care provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical diagnostic ultrasound to confirm due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and for any other pregnancy related concerns. During the elective ultrasound our certified technicians will be conducting a limited diagnostic exam to confirm number of babies, baby presentation, placental location, heart rate, and gender determination. Only if an abnormality is suspected your physician will be notified, and a report will be provided. Please note, that we cannot, and will not replace valuable diagnostic exams regularly ordered by your prenatal provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if you are unable to determine the gender of my baby?
Gender determination can be provided at 14 weeks, but baby’s position, development, placental placement, and other factors can affect the ability to determine gender. If we are unable to determine gender, we will offer one free return visit that must be booked within 10 days of the original visit.
What if I do not want to know the gender of my baby?
You can still enjoy seeing your baby in real time without learning the gender during your appointment. We offer secret gender options such as sealed envelopes, reveal items, and keepsake options for families planning a surprise.
How early can I schedule a gender determination ultrasound?
Gender determination may be scheduled beginning at 14 weeks. For a more detailed visual experience, many families choose to visit at 15 weeks or later.
